The Fourth Annual Audubon Missouri Birdathon™
JUST THE FACTS
Who?
Birdathon Team 2008 will include Audubon Missouri State Director Tony Robyn; Audubon Missouri trustees and guest birders.
When?
Friday, May 9, from dusk to dawn.
Where?
We will visit some of Missouri's most treasured landscapes; marsh, prairie, upland forest, bottomland forest and glade.
Why?
The Birdathon is a fun way Audubon Missouri raises awareness and critical dollars for the important habitat restoration and bird conservation work we know you care deeply about. This is the fourth year for our Birdathon, which continues to grow in the number of supporters.
How Can I Help?
You probably know how the Birdathon works, but just in case, here are the rules. What we do is ask our sponsors, people like you, to make a pledge for each species we see during the Birdathon. All you have to do is indicate the amount per species using the pledge form on our website and send it back to us. Or, you can simply make a generous gift now and send it to us today.
How Many Birds Will We See?
Will reasonably expect to see 130-180 species.
How Will You Notify Me About My Pledge?
After we have completed the Birdathon, State Director Tony Robyn will share the results with you in a special letter, which will include a list of the birds we recorded along with the amount of your generous tax-deductible donation.
How Much Should I Pledge?
Every gift counts! The most important thing to do is make a pledge or contribution today. We suggest a target of $1 or $2 or even $5 or $10 per species. The entire amount of your gift will go directly to Audubon Missouri’s ongoing conservation operations.
