Audubon/Toyota TogetherGreen Grant Awards Announced

Missouri Garners $69,000 Toward Critical Programs

Toyota funding advances multiple critical Audubon conservation and education initiatives across the state.

Innovation Grants Awarded:
$10,000 provides alternative energy and efficiency programming for students at Wildcat Glades Conservation & Audubon Center in Joplin
$20,000 supports the school-focused Environmental Leadership Acadamy at the Audubon Center at Riverlands in north St. Louis
$15,000 funds the Greater Ozarks Audubon Society's Green Leadership Academy for Diverse Ecosystems (GLADE) targeting high school students in Springfield

Fellows Grants
$10,000 was awarded to Korey Wolfe, Missouri Grasslands Director, in order to encourage private landowners to implement grassland friendly conservation practices for Greater Prairie-Chicken, and a whole suite of grassland dependent species

Volunteer Program Grants
$7,000 each was awarded to both Wildcat Glades in Joplin and St. Louis Audubon Society to develop and implement volunteer activities in critical chert glade and bird habitats
